Tom Cruise Exits The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Taking on two spy-themed movies at the same time has proved to be a “Mission: Impossible” for Tom Cruise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter’s sources, Tom has dropped out of “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” a big screen version of the 1960s television series, because it would overlap with filming “Mission: Impossible 5.”

Guy Ritchie is directing “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” with Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander, a Swedish actress, a part of the cast.

NBC first aired “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” from 1964-1968. It followed the journeys of two secret agents.

Tom isn’t the first actor to exit the project. At one point, George Clooney was attached, but he too exited the project, per The Hollywood Reporter.
