Tom & Katie Reunite

A little more than two weeks after giving birth, Katie Holmes joined her man, Tom Cruise, on the red carpet for the smokin’ L.A. premiere of “Mission: Impossible III.”

Katie has kept a very low profile since Suri arrived on April 18, but last night, the new mom joined Tom and Access’ Tony Potts to thank the fans.

“Tom and Katie arrived in style,” Tony reported. “She looks fabulous. Where did they go? Straight to the fans.”

Tom and Katie waved to a street loaded with fans of all ages.

It’s Katie’s first night out and what a night for Tom to unveil the mother of baby Suri.

Tom skipped the limo ride to drive Katie to the premiere in a $1.7 million Italian Bugatti Veyron sports car.

Impressive. But not as impressive as Katie, who, dressed in a flowing black number, was just beaming with happiness.

After taking a few cell phone photos, Tom and Katie went over to L.A. radio station Power-106’s platform to greet more fans.

And Tom showed unabashed adoration as he hailed his special girl.

“Her first night out,” Tom told…well, everyone, as Katie smiled.

The happy couple held hands, waved and took even more pictures.

And then Tom decided to give away some of his own money, Tony reported.

Tom gave away $25,000 not once, not twice but three times to different fans.

“Should we do one more?” Tom asked the crowd. Needless to say, the crowd screamed in monetary anticipation.

“Did you know Tom just gave away $75,000 of his own money?” Tony asked “M:i:III’s” director J. J. Abrams.

“I heard he wanted to give away some of yours, are you going to do that?” J.J. laughed.

“I got a couple dollars,” Tony laughed. “I got $4.”

Tom and Katie had hugs for all three winners but only sweet Kate got a smooch from Tom as they made their way to the red carpet.

“She looks great,” said Tony to Tom. Tom mouthed a big “Thank you” back to Tony.

“Who’s watching the baby?” Tony asked the new mom.

“Good friends,” Katie said.

“So, baby Suri was being watched by friends,” Tony reported. “Where were Tom’s other two kids? Watching it all from above.”

Connor and Isabella sat up in a food court, high above the madness, with Tom’s sister. The kids were quietly enjoying slices of pizza and soda.

When it comes to his kids, Tom admits in next month’s “Good Housekeeping” he is protective — even strict.

Absolutely no television or computer games are allowed but music, books and some movies are OK.

After Tom and Katie headed into the theatre, they ducked into the handicapped bathroom for a quick 5-minute huddle before taking their seats.

Tom’s pal, Will Smith, arrived a bit late and walked down the aisles of the theatre yelling, “I’m looking for Tom Cruise! Anyone seen Tom Cruise?”

According to critics, the third time’s the charm. This “Mission” movie is the best yet.
