Tom & Katie’s Strange Birth Certificate Saga

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have kept baby Suri out of sight for months, but now new questions arise about Suri?s birth certificate.

It?s been nearly three months since her birth, yet reportedly none of the couple?s famous friends have caught a glimpse of the newborn.

And now that Suri?s birth certificate has surfaced, even more questions have been raised.

Baby Suri was born on April 18, but no certificate was filed until May 8 ? nearly one month later, which is well over California?s 10-day filing policy. The delay was reportedly due to getting signatures from both mom and dad.

In the end, it wasn?t Tom and Katie who signed ? it was a friend.

So why now? It turns out Suri is reportedly planning to do some traveling overseas and needed a passport.

One final note in this strange scenario: the registered nurse on duty who was also required to sign the certificate was not in the delivery room during the birth and never saw the baby.
