Toni Braxton Heads Home From ‘Dancing,’ Thanks Show For Health Improvements

Toni Braxton said goodbye to the ballroom on Tuesday night, as the singer became the latest contestant eliminated from “Dancing With the Stars.”

The R&B sensation, who battled through five weeks of “Dancing” while dealing with a heart condition, said she was sad to go after host Samantha Harris announced she and partner Alec Mazo were eliminated.

”[I’m] a little disappointed,” Toni said.

Although she was sent on her way, Toni said she felt like she had a successful run.

“My goal was reached,” the sexy singer said. “I can breathe better… and my heart is doing better, so my goal was definitely reached.”

Toni may have left with some sexy ballroom moves and increased breathing power, but she’s not quite ready to return to the Las Vegas run she had to cut short earlier this year after she began suffering health problems. Shortly before she was announced as a competitor on “Dancing With the Stars,” it was revealed Toni suffers from microvascular angina, which affects blood flow to the heart.

“I still have to build up to performing for an hour and a half,” Toni said about Vegas.

As for Toni’s partner Alec, who won Season 1 of “DWTS” with his first partner, Kelly Monaco, he too was disappointed to say goodbye.

“I had a great time this season,” Alec said. “We had fun and I’m sad it’s over now, but she had a great time on the show and I’m really proud of her.”
