NEW ORLEANS (May 22, 2007) — Tony Potts traveled to New Orleans to meet with Regis and Kelly as they brought their show to the fine city. “We’re just happy to be here,” Regis Philbin said of their visit. “[We’re happy to be] doing whatever we can – opening a playground is very, very special.”The kids could not be happier, including Kelly’s. Her kinder crew included her sons – four-year-old Joaquin and nine year old Michael.“My kids can’t really conceptualize what it is to lose your house,” she said. “They’re children.”Before this morning’s taping of “Live,” the co-hosts put Tony to work.He helped usher in the crowd who were ready to party.“What do you have there,” Tony asked a fan.“A bloody mary,” a fan revealed. “I should have grabbed you one.”The party carried over to the stage even little Joaquin got into the New Orleans spirit.“Joaquin has been getting his freak on.”In between commercial breaks, Regis serenaded the crowd with legendary Cajun musician Pete Fountain.
