Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have tried their hand at running an inn, and now they’re giving wedding planning a go with their upcoming Oxygen reality show, “sTORIbook Weddings.”
“People probably think a Hollywood couple planning people’s weddings – [that] we’re gonna just like, wave a wand and have people bring it in and do it,” Tori told Access Hollywood on Monday night at the Oxygen upfront presentation in New York City.
“We’re hands on,” Dean added.
“It’s totally D.I.Y,” Tori added. “We do everything. He builds like, the trays for all the hors d’oeuvres and like big things.”
Dean said one of the more unusual requests during the filming process involved building a fantasy-type element.
“I made a flying carpet – a bride wanted to come in a flying carpet,” Dean said.
“To stand on a platform, everything,” Tori chimed in.
The couple said filming the show was romantic and it made them consider renewing their own wedding vows.
“At the end of every wedding, we’re like, ‘Oh! We want to do this again,” Tori said. “It’s magical.”
“I want to do it every year now,” Dean added. “We just renewed our vows and you know, I want to do it every single year.”
“sTORIbook Weddings” premieres on April 6 at 10 PM ET/PT.
