Travis Barker Leaves Plus-44 Tour Due To Injury

LOS ANGELES (January 22, 2007) — Drummer Travis Barker is leaving the Plus-44 tour because his arm hurts too much.

The band has released a statement saying Barker’s fractured arm has gotten worse while they’ve been on tour in Europe and he’s gone back to Los Angeles to see specialists.

Barker broke his right arm September ninth while the band was shooting a video for the song “When Your Heart Stops Beating.” He made it worse while on a promotional tour of Europe in the fall, and he’s been playing drums with one arm since then.

The band say Barker’s health is the most important to them and they plan to continue the European tour with a substitute drummer.

No word on when Barker is expected to rejoin the band.
