Trip To Outer Space With Leonardo DiCaprio Goes For $ 1.5M At Auction

Going up to the stars with one of the Hollywood’s biggest stars is going to cost you!

A trip into space aboard Virgin Galactic sitting next to Leonardo DiCaprio sold at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS charity dinner on Thursday night at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival for a whopping $1.5 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Dubbed as the “Oscars experience” and organized by Harvey Weinstein, the trip into space is described as a “once-in-a-lifetime trip.”

Just after the solo seat next to “The Great Gatsby” actor sold, a second pair of seats abroad Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic flight sold for a whopping $2.3 million.

Other big ticket items sold for the annual charity auction included Adrien Brody’s Bulgari watch for $116,000 and a house party with Duran Duran for $776,000.

AmFAR raised $25 million at the event.
