True Blood: Nathan Parsons To Play James Following Luke Grimes’ Exit

“True Blood” has cast its new James.

Nathan Parsons will play the long-haired vamp when the show returns for its seventh and final season this summer, HBO confirmed to Access Hollywood on Thursday.

Nathan, a “Bunheads” and “General Hospital” alum, is taking over the role from Luke Grimes.

Luke asked to be released from his “True Blood” contract in order to play Christian Grey’s brother, Elliot Grey, in the upcoming “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie, which is currently filming in Vancouver.

TVLine was first to report the casting news.

“Fifty Shades of Grey” will hit theaters on February 15, 2015.
