‘True Blood’s’ Lafayette Gets A Love Interest

Sookie and Bill won’t be the only couple keeping Bon Temps hot next season on HBO’s “True Blood” – Lafayette is getting a man.

“Southland” co-star Kevin Alejandro is joining the cast of the popular vampire series as Lafayette’s (Nelsan Ellis) love interest, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Kevin will play Jesus, a medical worker who is tending to Lafayette’s mother, another new character played by Ruby Jean Reynolds (Alfre Woodard).

Kevin, who has been seen on “Ugly Betty” and “Weeds,” will continue to star on “Southland,” which recently moved to TNT after NBC canceled the LA based cop drama.

According to the entertainment trade mag, the actor joins a slew of new additions to “Blood’s” cast in the third season, including Denis O’Hare, Marshall Allman, Theo Alexander, Grant Bowler, Joe Manganiello and Lindsay Pulsipher.
