Oprah and Anna Wintour at the Met: Oprah Winfrey and Anna Wintour, two of the most powerful women in entertainment and fashion, teamed up to throw a party in New York City. Oprah, Anna and Gap creative director Patrick Robinson co-chaired the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit on Monday night in New York. This year’s theme celebrated the American woman. Stars like Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez were there. Many were accompanied by the designer who dressed them. Oprah walked the arrival line with Oscar de la Renta, wearing a navy couture gown by the designer. Sam Jackson and Don Cheadle Talk ‘Iron Man 2”: “Iron Man 2” has already pulled in over $100 million at the international box office and Samuel L. Jackson says his Marvel magic is just starting. “I’ve got a nine-picture deal; I’ll be around for a while!” Sam told Access Hollywood at the Third Annual George Lopez Celebrity Golf Classic 2010 in Toluca Lake, Calif., on Monday.

Sam, who reprises his role as Nick Fury – the eventual head of Marvel’s espionage agency S.H.I.E.L.D, is slated to star in a slew of spin-offs including “Captain America: The First Avenger” and “The Avengers.”

“Nick Fury is around for awhile,” Sam added. Don Cheadle, who makes his debut as Lt. Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes (aka War Machine) – taking over for Terrence Howard – told Access that he had a love/hate relationship with the movie’s armored costume. Ice Cube in development to produce N.W.A bio pic: Andrea Berloff, the writer behind Oliver Stone’s “World Trade Center,” is penning “Straight Outta Compton,” the big screen tale of the iconic rap group, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The group, which put gangsta rap and Compton, Calif., on the map, launched the careers of Ice Cube, Dr. Dre and the late Eazy-E, as well as MC Ren and DJ Yella, with the debut of their “Straight Outta Compton” album in 1988.
