‘Twilight’ Gets A DVD Release Date

Twilight” fans finally get to take Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart home with them.

“Twilight” will be released on DVD on March 21, Summit Entertainment has announced.

The two-disc special edition will allow fans to get even more of the vampire phenomenon film than what was seen in theaters. The DVD will include five extended scenes, five deleted scenes, audio commentary from director Catherine Hardwicke and stars Pattinson and Stewart; as well as a seven-part documentary called “The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen.”

While most DVDs are released on Tuesdays, the studio decided to release “Twilight” on a Saturday “to encourage midnight release parties for fans across the nation.”

“Twilight” took in an estimated $185 at the U.S. box office, and approximately $300 worldwide.

And fans looking forward to the next chapter in the vampire saga won’t have long to wait — production on the sequel, “New Moon,” begins in March as well.
