‘Twilight’ News: Riley Has Been Cast And A New Comic Book On Its Way

The ‘Twilight’ world is growing with casting news and a graphic novel in the works.

The role of “Eclipse’s” evil newborn vampire, Riley, has been cast. The role is going to a relatively unknown Australian actor, Xavier Samuel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Xavier has been in a few Australian films, but “Eclipse” will be his first U.S. role. He will be teaming up with vampire vixen Victoria, played by Rachelle LeFevre, to track and kill Kristen Stewart’s character, Bella.

Xavier beat out Tom Felton, known from his role as Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series, who was rumored to have been considered for the part.

In addition to the new face, the “Twilight” gang will also be getting a new look – as animated characters in a new graphic-novel form, as first reported on EW.com.

Yen Press will be publishing the graphic-novel, and Korean artist Young Kim will be creating the art.

Stephenie Meyer, the writer of the “Twilight Saga” is heavily involved in the project and will be reviewing every panel and approving all character sketches, according to her publicist.

“She will see a sketch of Edward, and will then make her notes,” the rep told AccessHollywood.com.

The graphic-novel currently is in production, and does not yet have a publication date.
