Tyra Banks Named Prime Time’s Top Earning Woman

Tyra Banks has been named prime time’s top earning woman in a new poll by Forbes.

The TV queen, who has a daytime talk show and serves as the host of the long-running series “America’s Next Top Model,” brought in a reported $23 million between June 2007 and June 2008. In addition to her TV boasts, Tyra also has a multi-year development deal, according to Forbes, that will see her produce “Stylista,” a CW reality show based in the magazine world.

But Tyra wasn’t the only model at the top. Heidi Klum pocketed a handsome $14 million, netting her the second highest slot on the list thanks to her success with “Project Runway,” among other contracts and hosting gigs.

“Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl was the highest paid actress on the list, banking $13 million for her role as Izzie Stevens in the series and her film roles, including “27 Dresses.” Meanwhile, Heigh’s fellow ABC star Eva Longoria Parker came in fourth, netting $9 million.

The Forbes poll ranked the women based on their earnings between June 2007 and June 2008, taking into account not only their reported TV salaries, but movie, endorsement and fashion deals.

The top ten was rounded out by “ER’s” Maura Tierney in fifth, “Law & Order’s” Mariska Hargitay in sixth, “CSI’s” Marg Helgenberger in seventh, Jennifer Love Hewitt of “Ghost Whisperer” in eighth, “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul in ninth and “30 Rock’s” Tina Fey in tenth.
