Lisa Rinna has changed the look of her lips again – and this time she’s reduced the size of her famous pucker.
“I just took 48 pounds off my upper lip,” Lisa joked with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday morning.
The actress/reality star recently had surgery to decrease the size of her upper lip.
“I just didn’t want to be defined by my lips anymore because I think there’s a little bit more to me than that,” Lisa continued. “They take out the scar tissue, basically, that [formed] over 24 years, that’s why my lips looked different and they looked lumpy and bumpy because scar tissue formed… They took it out, it’s all good and I still have a lip its all good!”
Lisa explained that the effects of the procedure are still taking shape, telling Billy and Kit, “the swelling will take about six months before it goes down.”
Husband Harry Hamlin, who also appeared on Access Hollywood Live, said he still loves his wife’s lips.
“I don’t feel any difference whatsoever, they’re still luscious and kissable,” Harry said.
In 2009, Nancy O’Dell that a scene from a movie inspired her to first change the look of her lips.
“Back 23 years ago, my girlfriend and I saw ‘Beaches’ the movie and Barbara Hershey went and had collagen put in her lips and we thought that that was — as silly as it may sound — the coolest thing ever,” Lisa explained at the time. “So we did and we had some collagen put in. Well, collagen doesn’t last so I got the brilliant idea to have some silicone put in because it lasts forever.”
“So you don’t go and get injections now?” Nancy asked.
“No, I don’t and my lips don’t go up and they don’t go [down],” Lisa said. “They can soften it with cortisone and I’ve had to do that because it gets scar tissue and it gets hard. Do I regret it? I don’t regret it, no. It’s like a tattoo though… you can’t get rid of it. You can’t really change it.”
In related Rinna news, on Tuesday morning during an appearance on the fourth hour of NBC’s “Today” show, Lisa and Harry discovered that their store, Belle Gray in Sherman Oaks, Calif., was possibly robbed early in the morning. Harry could be heard speaking to authorities on the phone during the live broadcast, saying, “It’s being robbed now? Two racks gone? Anyone hurt?”
Harry gave Billy and Kit the scoop on the alleged robbery following their “Today” show appearance.
“The store was robbed this morning,” Harry said. “Somebody busted through the front door and took a bunch of clothes… From what I understand they broke the locks off the front door and opened the front door… We’ll get to the bottom of it.”
Lisa was simply happy her family was not affected.
“The kids are OK, so to me, you know, if the kids are fine, we’re good,” she told Billy and Kit. “It’s just material things, we’ll get more.”
Access spoke to the Los Angeles Police Department on Tuesday morning, who said at 7:16 AM an alarm went off in the store.
When an Access camera crew arrived on the scene at approximately 7:47 AM, the LAPD were inside the store.
Lisa and Harry debut their new reality show, “Harry Loves Lisa,” on TV Land on October 6 at 10 PM.
