Following his phenomenal appearance on Sunday at the MTV VMAs, R&B superstar Usher stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Tuesday and dished with Billy Bush and Kit Hoover about Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga.
Usher said with the help of their mutual vocal coach, they’re trying to ensure that the 16-year-old Canadian pop singer can keep hitting those high notes as his voice matures.
“We’re taking the right steps to make sure that he didn’t lose too much,” he said of Justin’s changing voice. “It’s all about what you eat and really just taking care of yourself.”
The “OMG” singer explained that the young singer’s voice isn’t the only thing that’s maturing in Justin’s life.
“As he finds his way through music and life, he’ll find his thing,” Usher continued. “He’s actually a flirt, so if he comes on the show, he’ll be a little touchy feely with his hands. He likes the girls.”
Usher also gave his take on Lady Gaga’s VMA meat dress, saying, “I thought the meat was unique.”
Adding, “That’s what I was gonna wear, and maybe if I wore that I would have won!”
The singer, who kicks off his North American OMG Tour on November 10 in Seattle, also told Billy and Kit that he’s open to potential future collaborations with Britney Spears and Gaga.
“I think it would be great. We’ve actually talked about working together in the past,” he said of Brit, adding, “I’ve actually shown some interest in working with Lady Gaga as well. We spoke about it the other night and may potentially make something happen there in the future.”
