Usher’s Stepson Dies Following Jet Ski Crash (Report)

Usher’s stepson, Kile Glover, has reportedly died, following injuries the 11-year-old sustained in a jet ski accident earlier this month.

According to TMZ, the child died after being taken off life support by doctors.

The website reported that doctors said his injuries – sustained when a jet ski crashed into an inner tube he was riding on in Atlanta’s Lake Lanier on July 8 – were too extreme “to overcome.”

Tameka Foster, Usher’s ex and the boy’s mother, is said to be devastated and had an extremely difficult time making the decision, the website reported.

Authorities told CNN previously that Jeffrey Hubbard, a 38-year-old family friend, was driving the jet ski, however alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Glover’s 15-year-old female companion reportedly suffered a broken arm and a laceration on her head, and was also airlifted to the hospital, according to Atlanta’s WSB.

Usher and Foster wed in August 2007. Their divorce was finalized in November 2009. The couple has two children together — Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond, over whom they have been embroiled in a bitter custody battle since their split.

A rep for the singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Access Hollywood on Saturday.
