Chmerkovskiy won’t have to wait much longer to be an uncle!
The
30-year-old revealed he’s missing Tuesday night’s “Dancing with the Stars:
Live!” performance in Richmond, Va., because his brother, Maksim
Chmerkovskiy, is due to welcome a little one with fiancée Peta Murgatroyd
“very soon.”
In an
Instagram clip, Val apologized to those looking forward to his tour appearance
and explained that Peta is “literally delivering the baby as soon as I’m
done with this video, hopefully.”

He promised to “make it up” to any disappointed fans, but noted in his caption how important it is for him to join his loved ones for such a happy occasion.
“Family means the most to me … love ya’ll, and appreciate you understanding,” Val wrote.
The mirrorball champ isn’t the only one anticipating the bundle of joy, of course.
On Monday, Maks appeared to tease his son’s impending arrival with an Instagram photo of Peta applying mascara from a hospital bed.
“But first…a little make up,” he captioned, adding a laughing emoji to his post.
This will be the couple’s first child. They celebrated their new addition with a joint baby shower last month, an event which Maks said on Instagram was “for the ages.”
“The love in the room was apparent,” he wrote, captioning a photo of him and Peta holding hands as she cradles her bump.
“This is an incredible adventure and I can’t say it enough how lucky I am to have a partner like @petamurgatroyd to experience it with!” Maks added of his longtime love.
