Valerie Harper: ‘So Blessed’ Following Dancing With The Stars Elimination

Valerie Harper was eliminated on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars,” but the 74-year-old TV icon (who bravely competing in the midst of battling terminal cancer) told Access Hollywood she’s feeling “blessed.”

“I have a fabulous life,” Valerie said, as her pro partner Tristan MacManus stood by her side.

“I mean there have been rough times and so forth and you know. Stuff hasn’t gone perfectly, but I’m so blessed in so many ways that I would be so petty to be saying the world’s not going the way I want it to,” she continued.

The actress’ elimination might have come at just the right time.

“I was glad to be here for four dances, and my knees are killing me,” she explained. “They’re not injured but they could get there… this is a blessing in disguise, as my mom had taught me.”

When it comes to who she wants to see take home the “DWTS” mirrorball trophy, Valerie had trouble picking a favorite.

“Oh geez, I can’t say, I’m rooting for them all,” she said. “Whoever’s the winner is the one who’s supposed to be the winner!”

“Dancing with the Stars” continues next Monday at 8/7c on ABC.
