Vanessa Minnillo On Her ‘Intimate’ Shower Conversations With Nick Lachey

Vanessa Minnillo and boyfriend Nick Lachey are pretty busy people – but they’ve found a way to make time for each other – by showering together.

“We shower, honestly, at least twice a day. We shower in the morning and we shower at some point during the day or before bed. It’s so funny because we’ve turned it into an intimate time for each other,” Vanessa told Parade.com.

Apparently the couple has bathing facilities big enough for two.

“We both have our own shower heads so we just talk while we’re soaping up and doing our hair. It’s not a sexual thing and it’s not a romantic thing, it just becomes an intimate thing,” she said. “You’re in your full form, so to speak, and you’re vulnerable and we just both let our guard down. I’ve had some of my most intimate conversations with him in the shower.”

The star revealed that her boyfriend tests out his famous pipes while getting sudsy.

“He does [sing in the shower],” she said. “When he’s preparing for a show or a singing appearance, it’s the best because the steam helps relax your vocal chords. It’s kind of cute; it’s become a routine. Sometimes I have to catch myself because I take for granted how beautiful his voice is and how it’s at the palm of my hand. So I try to appreciate whenever he does his warm-ups.”
