Jasmine’s son, Dylan – who became Captain Hiller’s stepson in the film – has been recast. Jessie Usher will now play the role that actor Ross Bagley was credited for almost 20 years ago.

Original cast members Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum will be joining Vivica. Liam Hemsworth and Charlotte Gainsbourg will also be part of the project.

“Independence Day 2” is slated for a June 2, 2016 release, nearly two decades after the original opened in theaters.
