‘Wanderlust’ Star Jennifer Aniston Dealing With Potty Training Her Pooch

She may be one of Hollywood’s most popular leading ladies, but Jennifer Aniston can’t use her star power to stop puppy puddles at home.

Her new pup, Sophie, which she recently adopted with her “Wanderlust” co-star and boyfriend Justin Theroux, is advanced in many ways, but not when it comes to finding a polite spot to relieve herself.

“She’s… an angel first of all. She has a lot of energy. She can sit, she can come and sit. And she’s 3 months old,” Jennifer told Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent at the Los Angeles “Wanderlust” junket over the weekend. “She’s just not quite getting the house training thing, but, you know, she’s just a little pup.”

Jennifer, a devoted dog lover, said she and Justin are putting in the time to give their pooch proper potty training.

“We’re training her — you know — crate training her,” Jennifer said.

But, in the meantime, while accidents happen, Jennifer is turning to a popular remedy.

“Nature’s Miracle — it’s some sort of an odor killer, so that it totally destroys the smell of the urine, so they don’t smell it and think that they can pee there again,” she said.

“So she’s just pretty much hitting every spot in the kitchen and where she doesn’t… We should just really do a mopping of the whole house with it,” she added.

Beyond talk of potty training, Jennifer said Sophie loves spending time in the same spots she does.

“She loves fireplaces, she loves sunshine, like her mom, she loves sitting in the sun — any little spot where there’s sun, she’ll just keep moving and moving to wherever the sun is,” Jennifer said.

“Wanderlust,” co-starring Paul Rudd, opens February 24.
