Wayne Newton Says ‘Danke Schoen’ To ‘Dancing’

On Tuesday night, Las Vegas legend Wayne Newton was the third celebrity to get the boot from “Dancing with the Stars.”

Though he stepped up his showmanship on Monday night’s episode — dancing in a fake moustache and faux ponytail, with partner Cheryl Burke, it didn’t help the vote count.

Wayne’s exit follows Abercrombie & Fitch model Albert Reed, who lost his “Dancing” slot in Week 2, and model Josie Maran who was the first to go.

Following’ Wayne’s last tango on “Dancing,” he spoke with Access Hollywood.

“Wayne has left the building, right?” the “Danke Schoen” crooner joked.

Wayne told Access he will miss strutting his stuff with Cheryl and especially their intensive practice sessions.

“I’m gonna miss this gorgeous lady,” Wayne said, as he looked at Cheryl. “I’m gonna miss the rigorous schedule that we’ve been on.”

Another thing Wayne will miss? His fellow competitors!

“They are truly the best group of people I’ve ever been around,” a gracious Wayne noted.

And it turns out, they’ll miss him too.

“[He is] truly a legend,” Marie Osmond gushed. “Everyone was saying he is like a Fig Newton and he is just as sweet inside. I love him.”

“I’m genuinely gonna really miss this man,” “All My Children” star Cameron Mathison told Access. “He is one of the most kind, honest, genuine people you’ll ever meet. He has the ability to make everybody feel comfortable.”
