‘Weird Al’ Yankovic Week: A Parody Party!

It was a big week for fans of parody music! “Weird Al” Yankovic dropped his new album, “Mandatory Fun,” where he poked fun at a slew of hit songs including parodies of Iggy Azalea, Lorde, Pharrell and Robin Thicke.

Here’s a rundown of “Weird Al” songs and videos that he gifted to the world this week:

“Handy”: Parody of Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX’s “Fancy,” where the singer takes on a mustache-sporting blonde handyman character or HGTV’s worst nightmare!

“Foil”: Parody of Lorde’s “Royals,” a song that starts off as lesson in food safety, but then takes a left turn into an Illuminati-filled cautionary tale.

“Tacky”: Parody of Pharrell’s “Happy,” a style lesson from the singer in a video filled with celebrity cameos including Jack Black, Margaret Cho, Aisha Tyler and Kristen Schaal and Eric Stonestreet.

“Word Crimes”: Parody of Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” a lesson in better grammar complete with a references to Prince, “Lost” and emoji characters.
