Reese Witherspoon (ARIES) and Ryan Phillippe (VIRGO) are a classic case of two people who may have been attracted to one another based on what appeared to be very similar personalities. But at heart, as they got to know one another, they realized they were quite different.
Reese has powerful chart configurations and is tremendously appealing to others who dote on her presence and substantiality. Aside from her good looks, she radiates something, a certain “je ne sais quoi,” of which the public cannot get enough. They just soak it up.
As for Ryan, he doesn’t need anyone else desperately, but he does want to be in a relationship that is interdependent. With someone like Reese, he appears to her to be too dependent, and that could very well have led to their breakup. Reese is perhaps independent to the point of being self-sufficient. It is not clear that she needs anyone, and if she does, Ryan may have been too needy for her.
Astrologically speaking, the fact that Reese and Ryan split at this particular time really has no significance. What made the relationship work up to now is that Ryan is very different, always coming out of left field, with interesting ideas and insights. He has a very unique point of view, and perhaps this fascinated Reese. She may have mistaken his “different-ness” for independence, but over time she came to realize Ryan’s dependency, and this ultimately might have made him less appealing to her.
