What’s Next For Last Week’s Booted ‘American Idols’

On Tuesday, “American Idol” will kick off week three of competition, but if you’re wondering what the four contestants sent home last week are doing, Access Hollywood has the answers.

Jason Yeager, the 28-year-old with the blonde streak at the forefront of his dark hair, said he was heading home to his son.

“I have been away for a long time and when [my son] was up here we didn’t really get to spend a whole lot of personal time together, so I would like to go home for a little bit, relax, enjoy family time and just see what other opportunities come my way,” Yeager said.

For 17-year-old Alexandrea Lushington, her post-“Idol” experience will find her hitting the books.

“I might get some rest,” she said. “Going back to school may not be the same as it used to be because a whole lot of people are going to know me now. I am really huge in Douglasville, [Georgia].”

Alaina Whitaker, who turned 17 while on the show, is also going back to school, and she’s looking forward to seeing her gang.

“We get to go home and I get to see my friends,” she enthused. “I really miss my dog so it’s the small stuff [that I’m looking forward to].”

Rocker Robbie Carrico said he plans to carry on singing as he returns to Melbourne, Florida.

“I am going to — like my parents say — exhaust every option, look at everything,” he said. “I want to go back home and get my music together and try to lay some of that down with some producers and try working on a record deal. First and foremost, music to me is number one.”

Carrico, it seems, is also going to enjoy not answering questions about Britney Spears, who (it was recently revealed) he dated as a teenager.

“[Dating Britney] wasn’t really a big deal, but my girlfriend loves hearing that all the time,” Carrico said sarcastically. “I didn’t come out saying [stuff about it]. They come up asking me questions and you know, I answered it and went on.”

So as a final word on the subject, Carrico said no, the two aren’t still in touch.

“I wish her the best,” he said. “I hate what’s happening with her, but it will all be OK. It’s going to work out fine for her.”
