Where Will Britney Spears Go During The Nationwide Starbucks Blackout?

One of Britney Spears’ favorite haunts, Starbucks, will close its doors tonight at 5:30 PM, for employee training in hopes of “delivering the absolute finest espresso drinks and service,” Bridget Baker, a spokesperson for Starbucks, tells Access Hollywood.

The coffee giant will close all of its 7,100 locations for three hours on Tuesday, including all of its stores Los Angeles, which raises the question: where will Britney Spears go for her Frappuccino fix?

“We’re sorry if the closure is inconvenient for our customers, but the temporary closure will help improve how we prepare and deliver coffee to our customers each and every day. We believe all of our customers will notice the difference, and we’re excited to welcome them back to our stores after the training is complete.” Baker tells Access.

Assuming Britney has an espresso machine at home, she could whip up her own homemade coffee concoction, but judging from the amount of time the pop star spends going out to eat, Britney playing barista seems highly unlikely.

She could take drastic measures– a Starbucks mutiny! Britney could pledge her allegiance to any of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf branches in the greater Los Angeles area, swapping out her Venti Frap with whip for a large Ice-Blended mocha with whip. Or, if The Coffee Bean doesn’t suit her fancy, there is always the lesser-known but equally caffeinated Peet’s Coffee or Tully’s.

If Britney is suffering from giant coffee chain fatigue, she could turn to a corporate alternative for her coffee fix. Dunkin’ Donuts is dropping the price of its small-sized espresso drinks to a paltry $0.99 from 1 PM to 10 PM as “to ensure that no coffee lover is denied a delicious espresso-based beverage,” The Huffington Post reports.

Even though Britney’s finances have been in peril lately (The New York Times reported the pop star is only worth an estimated $50 million and not the originally reported $125 million), she can still afford spending four bucks for her Frap.

Luckily for the pop star, the caffeine outage won’t last all night. Starbucks will re-open all of its stores at 8:30 PM, just in time for a late night coffee run for Britney.
