‘White Collar’ Catches Second Season

“White Collar” has been picked up for a second season, according to series creator Jeff Eastin.

“White Collar season 2 pickup is official!” he Tweeted. “Congratulations to the best cast and crew on television.”

The USA drama, which follows former AccessHollywood.com Rising Star Matt Bomer as criminal-turned-FBI consultant Neal Caffrey, notched its highest ratings yet with 5.6 million viewers for its episode following the series finale of “Monk” earlier this month.

The show, which also stars Tim DeKay as Neal’s FBI handler Peter Burke, and former “Saved By The Bell” actress Tiffani Thiessen as Elizabeth Burke, is halfway through its 13-episode first season, with the series set to return on January 19, 2010.
