Whitney: Atlanta Home Being Sold On Her Terms

Not so fast on that story about Whitney Houston’s home near Atlanta being sold as part of a foreclosure deal. Turns out the report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution wasn’t as accurate as first thought.

In a correction, the paper reports that the five-bedroom home in Alpharetta, Georgia, had been advertised for sale earlier this fall — but the foreclosure sale hadn’t been
carried out.

Officials with the company that holds the mortgage say the singer still owns the home she shared with husband Bobby Brown.

An attorney for the singer tells The Associated Press the house is now being sold by Houston at what he calls “terms that are acceptable to her.”

Houston and Brown bought the property in 2003 for one-point-one million dollars.

Recently, Houston filed for divorce from Brown after a 14-year marriage.
