Who Is Oksana Grigorieva?

Each day, more disturbing information on Mel Gibson’s alleged verbal and physical abuse of former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva surfaces, but who is she?

The Russian born brunette is a musician and singer, who has been involved in music her entire life.

She co-wrote and recorded a track called “Say My Name,” which was included in Gibson’s film, “Edge of Darkness.”

She also recorded 11 tracks for the album “Beautiful Heartache,” released in 2009, which was produced by Gibson. The album garnered generally good reviews, but was a commercial disaster, selling less than 200 copes.

As a songwriter, a track she penned with Claudia Brant, “Un Dia Llegara,” was performed by Josh Groban on his 2006 album “Awake.”

The daughter of music professors, Grigorieva was raised in the industrial city of Saransk, Russia, where she entered a local beauty pageant as a young woman.

She reportedly married at 19, but by 20, the marriage was over and Grigorieva headed for London, England.

By most accounts, Grigorieva was a talented musician. She studied at London’s Royal College of Music, had a relationship with an older man and in 1997, met and began a relationship with British actor, former James Bond star, Timothy Dalton.

The former couple has a son – Sasha – who is now 12.

She gave birth to her daughter with Mel Gibson – Lucia – in October 2009.‬ ‪
