Will Daniel Craig Play James Bond Again After ‘Spectre’?

Daniel Craig made headlines
last month saying he’d rather slash his wrists than play James Bond again – but
what’s he saying days ahead of
“Spectre” opening?

“I’ve had many chats
with [the producers], obviously. I’m not trying to be coy. I’m just, I don’t
want to think about it for the time being. I don’t think really any of us
do,” he said of the “Spectre” team when he chatted with Access
during the film’s junket.

The actor explained that the
film’s extensive two-year production has taken
its toll on him.

“You just wanna get on
with other things and I just don’t want to be kind of drawn into a debate about
it at the moment,” he continued.

Daniel, who previously played the spy in “Casino
Royale” (2006), “Quantum Solace” (2008)
and “Skyfall” (2012), stopped short of
saying if he’d return for what would be the 25th installment in the
franchise.

“I love doing them. I
mean, if that is any indication,” he explained. “I think they’re some
of the most exciting movies to make.”

As for future Bond movies
going in an unexpected direction, the actor is open to the idea of
interpretation.

“I think that there is a
possibility to do anything in these movies. I mean you have to just stick to
the rule that it’s a James Bond movie, but everything else is up for
grabs,” he told Access.
