Per THR, the project is still in its early stages of development.

“Winnie the Pooh” continues Disney’s ongoing trend of live-action remakes of their classic animated stories. “Cinderella” – starring Lily James, Helena Bonham Carter and Cate Blanchett – opened in theaters last month. “Beauty and the Beast” – set to star Emma Watson, Josh Gad, Dan Stevens and Luke Evans – and “Jungle Book” – directed by Jon Favreau – are both currently in the works.
