X-Men: First Class Director Matthew Vaughn In Talks For Star Wars: Episode VII?

The “Star Wars” rumors continue to roll out like cringe-worthy one-liners from Jar Jar’s mouth!

The latest buzz claims “X-Men: First Class” director Matthew Vaughn is on the shortlist of potential helmers for the highly-coveted project.

Actor Jason Flemyng appears to have possibly let some information slip during the UK premiere of “Seven Psychopaths,” when he was asked about Vaughn possibly getting the job.

“Me and Matt have done nine films together, so I’m sure I’ll get the call for ‘Star Wars,’ but I’m sure it’s going to be, ‘Flemyng, no. Flemyng, I know on paper it doesn’t look like much, but I promise you it’s essential,’” he told the HeyYouGuys Blog.

Adding, “I think that’s — he’s interested, yeah,” when asked if the director wanted in on the movie.

Disney/Lucasfilm has not said who might direct the massive undertaking and Flemyng’s comments are far from a confirmation.

“Star Wars: Episode VII” will blast into theaters in 2015.
