‘X-Men’s’ Zoe Kravitz Reveals Jennifer Lawrence & Dad Lenny’s Pre-‘Hunger Games’ Connection

Zoe Kravitz says her “X-Men: First Class” co-star Jennifer Lawrence and her rocker dad – a co-star with Jennifer in “The Hunger Games” – bonded long before they were both cast in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling trilogy.

“It’s funny because Jen and my father met while we were shooting ‘X-Men’ and we all took a trip to Paris at one point and stayed at his house,” she told Access Hollywood at the “X-Men: First Class” junket on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old said her dad – who has been cast opposite Jennifer’s Katniss Everdeen as her stylist Cinna in the movie – became good friends while the three of them vacationed in France.

“They got along really well, so it’s really funny that they are going to be working together,” she continued.

As for Zoe and Jennifer’s project (which sees Zoe playing a mutant named Angel with the ability to fly and Jennifer as the shape shifter Mystique), the daughter of the rocker said she’s a little nervous for dad to see the movie.

”[He hasn’t] seen it yet. But yeah, I’m sure it will be one of those things that we just don’t talk about. No need to talk about the fact that I’m dancing on a table,” Zoe said of her somewhat racy introduction scene in the film. “It’s not like I’m stripping, I’m dancing!”

The young star is also nervous about how comic book fans will react to her character appearing during a time period where she didn’t exist in the original paper version of the series.

“I do hope that people are happy with Angel being in the film. They did sort of pluck different mutants from different time zones,” she explained. “She was kind of in the early 2000’s and late 90’s comics and they kind of popped her in this film. So, I hope people are OK with that.”

“X-Men: First Class” hits theaters on June 3 and Jennifer and Lenny will be seen together in “The Hunger Games,” due on March 23, 2012.
