‘Zoolander 2’: See The First Teaser!

Derek Zoolander tackles the tough questions in the first “Zoolander 2” teaser, released Sunday.

The two-minute clip begins with a cosmology lesson from a Stephen Hawking-esque voiceover.

“The human brain, the pinnacle of billions of years of evolution — a brain that possesses the power of reason and the ability to ponder life’s most ancient riddles: why are we here? Is there intelligent life beyond this galaxy? Or, the one question that has puzzled mankind since the beginning of time,” the voiceover states, as graphics made to look like the inside of a human brain race across the screen (notice the nod to no-left-turn and “eugoogly”).

Ben Stiller’s Derek then appears, asking, “If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?”

The pair go back and forth, until the faux-Hawking finally concedes, saying, “Jesus. You are so freakin’ stupid – it’s insane.”

Willie Nelson, Justin Bieber, Fred Armisen, Olivia Munn, Kristen Wiig and Penelope Cruz are set to appear in the comedy, as are original “Zoolander” stars Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson (and Billy Zane, who had a cameo in the first film).

“Zoolander 2” struts into theaters on February 16, 2016.
