Christina Applegate Hints At Retirement, Says SAG Awards Will Likely Be ‘Last Award Show’ As Actor

Christina Applegate may be saying goodbye to award shows. The actress, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her work on “Dead To Me” at this year’s SAG Awards, and while she plans to attend, it might be her final one this chapter of her career. She told the Los Angeles Times in a new interview, “It’s my last awards show as an actor probably, so it’s kind of a big deal.” Christina said hinted that she’ll likely be scaling back her acting, saying, “Right now, I couldn’t imagine getting up at 5 a.m. and spending 12 to 14 hours on a set; I don’t have that in me at this moment.”
