Taylor Swift’s Dad Will Not Face Charges Over Alleged Paparazzi Altercation in Australia

Taylor Swift’s father, Scott Swift, will not face charges in Australia after an alleged altercation with a paparazzo in February. The New South Wales Police confirmed to multiple outlets that an investigation was launched into the incident and concluded that ”no further police action” would be taken. Last month, a paparazzi photographer named Ben McDonald claimed that he had been in an altercation with the pop star’s father as she disembarked a yacht in the early morning hours at the Sydney Harbor. At the time, Ben had described the alleged altercation as “a punch in the chops.” However, Taylor’s spokesperson had issued a statement obtained by Access Hollywood which read: “Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water.” The superstar was in Australia as part of the international leg of “The Eras Tour.”
