Aaron Carter is still publicly displaying his decade’s old heartbreak over the one that got away, ex-girlfriend Hilary Duff.
On December 3, Aaron posted a photo on Instagram showing the singer watching his own guest appearance on a 2001 episode of Disney Channel’s “Lizzie McGuire.”
He captioned the pic, “Merry Christmas, Lizzie McGuire.” #IWantCandy #AaronCarter #Flashback I never actually watched this before.”

“It’s not my fault that @DisneyChannel was playing my episode of Lizzie McGuire while I had some time to watch TV the other night,” he defended himself on Twitter on Friday.
Just a few months ago, Aaron was singing a different tune.

“Don’t be the stupid d***** that loses the love of your life forever..Like me..,” he Tweeted back on March 5, 2014, reportedly referring to Hilary. “I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to better myself to get back to her. I don’t care what ANY of you think.”
In an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Hilary addressed the comments.
“I don’t know what to say about it. It was so many years ago. I literally haven’t seen him…, so it’s uncomfortable,” she told host Andy Cohen. “He was very sweet when I was 13.”
Hilary, meanwhile, is raising two-year-old son Luca with estranged husband Mike Comrie.
