Adam Levine: ‘I’m Not Dead’ On American Horror Story

Adam Levine made his acting debut last week on FX’s “American Horror Story: Asylum” and he confirmed to AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman, despite his limb-losing scene, he will be back on the show.

“I’m not dead. In real life and on the show, I’m technically not dead,” he said, as he promoted Maroon 5’s the Citi AAdvantage Love the Journey Concert Series, along with bandmate James Valentine.

But, Adam kept things a mystery as to how long his character – Leo, the husband to Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s Teresa, will last – after having his arm torn off during the FX show’s season premiere.

“Who knows if I’ll survive. I do have one arm. It’s tough when you’re bleeding out,” Adam said.

The Maroon 5 singer, whose band kicks off its North American tour on February 14, 2013, said he actually wasn’t sure he was going to be able to watch the season premiere of the show, not because of work, but because he was scared.

“I don’t like to watch things like that, so I told [show co-creator] Ryan [Murphy], I said, ‘Listen man, I don’t know if I can watch the show.’ And I tried to watch it ‘cause I was on it… and besides cringing through my performance because I’m watching myself act for the first time… It was really hard to watch because it’s just so weird and disturbing,” Adam said. “But that means it’s really good because that’s what they’re trying to do — disturb us.”

Adam had several sexy scenes with Jenna and he admitted he texted his co-star, pleading with her to apologize to her “Magic Mike” star husband – Channing Tatum.

“I texted Jenna the day it was gonna premiere and I said, ‘Can you just do me a favor and apologize to your husband in advance before he sees this like gross, weird, sleazy sex scene,’” Adam said. “[Channing could] no doubt kick my ass.”
