‘American Idol’ Runner-Up Crystal Bowersox Weds!

After less than a month after announcing her engagement, Crystal Bowersox has wed, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The “American Idol” Season 9 runner-up married fellow musician Brian Walker on Sunday in Chicago, a rep for the singer confirmed to Access.

“Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now,” Crystal said in a statement to Access. “I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family.”

According to People – which first reported the news – the bride, 25, wore an environmentally friendly gown made from hemp and cotton by designer Tara Lynn. The dress included seashells, macrame and beading embellishments that were reportedly made in the designer’s solar-powered work studio.

Keeping the green theme for their reception, the mag reported that the couple was planning on having a laughing Buddha cake from Bleeding Heart Bakery, a Chicago area organic bakery.

The couple reportedly wed at the Windy City club, where they met six years ago. Crystal’s fellow Season 9 “Idol” contestant, Didi Benami, was one of the 60 guests in attendance.

This is the first marriage for Crystal, who has a 1-year-old son from a previous relationship. In May, just hours before the “American Idol” final performance show, she broke up with her then-boyfriend, Tony Kusian.
