Television fans may be surprised to know that there is no drama between the two new judges on “America’s Got Talent.” In fact, Mel B and Heidi Klum like each other!
“She’s lovely, absolutely adorable,” Mel B told Access Hollywood as she filmed the new season in New Orleans earlier this week.
The two women admitted they quickly bonded over motherhood.
“She’s a mom like me!” Mel said.
Heidi said she doesn’t expect the two to have any drama.
“I don’t think the claws will come out,” Heidi told Access. “We might have claws, but I don’t think they will be scratching!”
Heidi obviously has years of judging experience on “Project Runway,” but she still had butterflies on her first day of work at “AGT.”
“I’m a little nervous,” she said. “But I’m super open-minded because I have no idea what I’m about to see!”
As for Howard Stern, he may have two opinionated and beautiful women on the panel for this season, but he said the talent is what matters.
“I’m here as the good looking guy,” he said. “Everybody knows why I’m hired. Good looking girls — irrelevant, the talent is what counts. I’m the judge that counts. I’ll try to get these judges up to speed, but between us, who really cares what they have to say? It’ll be fine.”
Howie Mandel shared a more neutral opinion.
“I have no idea how this is going to work but I’m just thrilled we have this panel,” he said.
“America’s Got Talent” returns to NBC later this year.
