Angelina Jolie Wants More Privacy: ‘I Don’t Find Myself That Interesting’

Angelina Jolie might be one of the biggest stars on the planet, but it’s a phenomenon that the actress doesn’t quite understand.

“I don’t find myself that interesting in that way,” the 35-year-old mother of six said in an interview on NBC’s “Today” show on Tuesday. “But I feel like it happens to everybody. It’s just that it’s a weird time right now. There’s just so much of all of that, for everybody. It’s just, it’s a new world.”

“I just assume the older I get, the more it’ll go away,” she continued. “The more private I’ll become.”

“The Tourist” star wasn’t keeping a low profile on Monday when she stepped out with partner, Brad Pitt, at the premiere of her latest film, which co-stars Johnny Depp.

“He’s as lovely and as interesting as you could hope for,” she said when asked about Depp.

As for new role opposite Depp, the actress found it challenging to tap into her feminine side.

“I’m not as lady-like as [my ‘Tourist’ character] is,” Angelina recently told Access Hollywood at the movie’s junket. “I had to learn how to slow down. She’s very elegant and graceful and I’m not so much. So, I had to learn to be a little more female.”

When it comes to her six kids, the actress hopes that one day they’ll look back on their globetrotting childhood fondly.

“Hopefully they are happy, and they know that they were loved, and that they were encouraged to be who they are, and not pushed into something that they’re not,” she said of her massive brood on “Today.” “Hopefully they’ll be the strong, beautiful individuals that they are today, and be happy in their lives, be fulfilled in their lives, and be living their lives honestly.”

“The Tourist” hits theaters on Friday.
