Ashley Greene On R-Pattz, Her ‘Twilight Saga’ Crush & Her ‘Scary’ Hollywood Dates

Ashley Greene may star alongside the hunky Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga” films, but the sexy vamp says she never had a thing for her fellow Cullen.

“When I met Rob, I didn’t think twice about him,” she told the June/July 2010 issue of Seventeen. “He’s really attractive, but that chemistry wasn’t there. He also doesn’t understand girls.”

One co-star who she did set her eyes on, however, was Kellan Lutz.

“I’ve definitely thought about [hooking up],” Ashley admitted. “He and I met through our agent five years ago, and we’ve been best friends ever since — and filming together has made us even closer.”

Don’t expect them to turn into a “Twilight” couple, though.

“He’s one of my best friends, but if we were going to be romantic, we would have done it years ago!” Ashley told the mag. “I like having him to talk to about other guys to get that male perspective. I really cherish our relationship, so I wouldn’t want to mess that up with dating.”

Of her recent romances, Ashley said that reports linking her to stars such as Chace Crawford and Ian Somerhalder have been misinformed.

“I have gone on dates, but, like, with one of those people, it was our first or second date, and it had gotten blown out of proportion in the press — and then that was pretty much it between us,” she explained. “It’s kind of scary when you’re trying to get to know someone, and all of a sudden people are saying you’re together. It makes it hard to have a relationship.”

Instead, Ashley’s focused on her career – beyond “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” due on June 30, she has a number of films due over the next two years, from a horror flick (“The Apparition”) to an indie comedy (“Butter”) and “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.”

“I feel like we’re in high school. We’re there for a year, then we go to summer break, and then we come back,” she said of the “Twilight Saga” cast. “And each time we come back, I think we get a little closer — we know each other a little bit better. It’s really nice to come back to these people.”

However, there have been reports that the actress’ “Twilight” future could be in jeopardy.

As previously reported by AccessHollywood.com, Ashley and Kellen have been in salary negotions for the final installment of the franchise, which could potentially be broken into two films.

“They’re not asking for anything near what the leads are getting,” a source close to the situation told Access last week. “They just need to be compensated fairly.”

On Wednesday, Deadline‘s Nikki Finke reported that Ashley’s deal was “about to be done,” with Summit Entertainment reportedly offering some members of the supporting cast “10 times what they’d made in the first movie.”
