Watching the Matt Lauer interview with Britney last night on “Dateline,” I conclude this: humanity must prevail.
There are multiple opinions on celebrities’ lives and what “comes with the territory.” A lot of people reconcile that the paparazzi are part of the territory and that any publicity is good publicity, so the relentless headlines of marital doom and those that infer she’s a bad mom, are OK.They are not.
She is pregnant and trying hard to settle into the two jobs that will ultimately define her life: Mother and wife.
HER goal in doing this sit-down with Matt was to really show people the hurt – from tabloids and renegade photogs.I think, and frankly I hope, it works.
There IS a perception out there that Kevin Federline is not good enough for her… perhaps the media machine is trying to prove that point by expediting the demise of their marriage.I think that is what happened with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez.They didn’t sit right with the media machine so they got chewed up.
My wife was allowed to settle into her married life and motherhood without people publicly questioning her ability. You or yours likely did too.
Some is tolerable. What she encounters every day is not!
