Casting Call: Sarah Jessica Parker, Zac Efron & Halle Berry Joining Star-Studded ‘New Year’s Eve’ Cast?

Three more of Hollywood’s biggest names will reportedly be toasting the new year, hoping for a kiss and singing “Auld Lang Syne” in New Line’s ensemble movie, “New Year’s Eve.”

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sarah Jessica Parker has joined the all-star cast and Zac Efron and Halle Berry are reportedly in negotiations to come aboard.

The movie’s cast includes Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Biel, Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank, Sofia Vergara, Lea Michele and Abigail Breslin. Sarah Jessica will reportedly play Abigail’s mom, a woman who is too dependant on her daughter’s company.

If negotiations are successful, Zac will reportedly play a bike messenger linked to Michelle Pfeiffer’s character and Halle will portray a caterer who has an encounter with a former lover.

“New Year’s Eve” is slated to start filming in February 2011.
