The cast of “Grey’s Anatomy” has been back at work for weeks now on the fall season of the ABC series and according to Chandra Wilson, Eric “McSteamy” Dane’s nude video, which hit the Internet earlier this summer, didn’t go unnoticed by his co-workers.
At last night’s Emmy Awards, Chandra told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush she happened to catch the viral clip, which also featured Eric’s wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and upcoming “Celebrity Rehab 3” patient Kari Ann Peniche.
“Did you watch the Eric Dane/McSteamy nude video on YouTube?” Billy asked.
“I didn’t have to. It was all over the place,” Chandra said.
When asked what she thought about the tape, which saw Eric parading around in the buff, hitting the web, Chandra said she got defensive.
“My whole maternal thing comes out and I just [want to] take care of my baby. That’s it,” Chandra said.
Chandra refrained from giving Eric any advice, however, over the incident.
“I said the things you’re supposed to say… ‘I love you,’ really. That kind of stuff,” Chandra said.
Eric’s tape seems to have blown over on the “Grey’s” set and the cast is getting ready for a new challenge.
Next week, Emmy nominee Chandra will be going behind the camera.
“I’m directing this week so basically, I get the mini-cast,” Chandra said referring to a “Grey”-less Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo who have been written out of the show for several weeks this season. Katherine is on hiatus as she bonds with new daughter Nancy Leigh and films new movie “Life As We Know It,” and Ellen is gearing up to give birth to her first child.
“Grey’s Anatomy’s” sixth season premieres on Thursday at 9 PM on ABC.
