Charlie Sheen’s Character To Return To ‘Two And A Half Men’… As Kathy Bates

It’s getting spooky (and surprising!) on “Two And A Half Men,” as the character of Charlie Harper – formerly played by Charlie Sheen – returns.

The most surprising part of the character’s return is that Kathy Bates will be playing him!

CBS announced that the character – who was killed off on the season premiere – returns after Alan Harper (Jon Cyrer) suffers a minor heart attack and is visited by Harper’s ghost in the hospital.

Bates, who is obviously female and almost 20 years older than Sheen – who is currently working on his own new show, “Anger Management” — will appear on the April 30 episode of the CBS comedy.

No other details on the role were immediately available.

Sheen was replaced by Ashton Kutcher, who plays billionaire Walden Schmidt.
