It’s almost impossible to imagine someone fat-shaming Chrissy Teigen, but last month, some of her followers on Instagram unleashed on her after she posted a photo – something that astounded the Sports Illustrated model.
“Apparently I looked a little bit bigger than normal, which is – listen, I got my Sports Illustrated cover, I got my Cosmo cover. I’m gonna live it up a little bit for a bit, sorry. I’m gonna enjoy my meals. Everyone knows I love food. I have a food blog, I love cooking, and maybe I wasn’t in the best shape, but my goodness. Come on!” she told Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover when asked about an April 24 Instagram post, where some people berated her size.
“I can’t imagine walking up to someone on the street and being like, ‘You gained weight,’” she continued of the photo taken at MTV’s upfront presentation.

“I just let it get to me just because it was already a rough day for me. It was already a little long and it wasn’t the first time that that had happened that day. So you know, you’re having a bad day and then things just finally take a toll on you,” she said.
Chrissy, who has appeared on countless magazine covers and spreads, admitted she feels self-conscious at times – even when she has husband John Legend to comfort her
“It’s so easy for someone to be like, ‘Don’t let it affect you, you’re beautiful, your body’s perfect,’ which is what [John] always tends to do and that’s nice to hear, but it really does affect you and you can’t really have many people tell you otherwise. … If you’re emotional about it then you’re emotional about it,” she explained.

Last month, Chrissy took to Twitter slamming her haters.
“Honestly f**k you all,” She Tweeted at the time. “Why do I even open anything up to you?”
The 28-year-old told Kit that her chart-topping husband is always there for her.

“He loves every part of me. … He’s kind of my therapist in a way. Like he talks me through it,” she said. “I think that at the time that I’m like, ‘Why did I do that?’ Because that’s all they want in the end and the last thing I want to do is give these meanies what they want.”
