Deborah Ann Woll Talks ‘True Blood’ Violet Drama & ‘Daredevil’ Role

Deborah Ann Woll’s Jessica found herself back in the arms of Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) after making a startling discovery about her boyfriend James on last week’s “True Blood.”

Given that Jason’s girlfriend, Violet (Karolina Wydra) knows about Jason and Jessica’s reunion, Deborah said there will be definite consequences on Sunday’s show.

“You can kind of see she’s not happy about it, and I think Violet is not someone to let anything go,” the actress told Access Hollywood at Comic-Con 2014 in San Diego. “So there’ll definitely be some drama there.”

The HBO series is on its final season, and Deborah said the thing she’ll miss most about the show is “the family” aspect of the tight-knit cast and crew.

“I think every other thing I’ve ever worked on so far, people have been lovely and nice, but it’s not the same closeness and affection that I feel for every single [member of the] cast, crew, staff member that we have here,” she said. “I will miss them dearly – it’s the experience of my life.”

The actress will move from “True Blood” to starring in Netflix’s upcoming series, “Daredevil,” playing Karen Page – a project she’s excited to be a part of.

“It’s really nice to go from one really classy project to another really classy project and I’m excited to see how it goes,” she said.

And while Karen, the love interest of Matt Murdock/Daredevil (played by Charlie Cox), doesn’t possess superhuman strength like Jessica, Deborah said the character can certainly hold her own.

“She’s absolutely a strong lady. I mean, she’s human, so it won’t be the same superhero type thing, but I’m always interested in all types of characters,” she said.
