Dish Of Salt: Tuesday TV Dish (Tonight’s Tune Ins)

With Memorial Day behind us, that means the Spring TV season has officially ended. Today, we move into the Summer TV season. It’s a busy schedule tonight with the return of a reality show favorite, the premiere of Jillian Michaels’ new weight loss show and “Glee” is down to just two more episodes for its premiere season.

On TV Tonight

“America’s Got Talent” The variety/talent competition show is back for a fifth season as acts from around the country compete for a one million dollar prize and the chance at a Las Vegas show. David Hasselhoff is out as judge and “Deal or No Deal’s” Howie Mandel is filling his seat. Howie told me he has been watching the series at home from his couch, so moving to the swivel chairs (moving them???) made perfect sense. NBC, 8 PM ET/PT.

Of course, Howie is a known germaphobe. How did Sharon Osbourne deal with this on the show? She taunted him, of course. Check out our interview about it here HERE.

“Losing It With Jillian” – “The Biggest Loser’s” drill sergeant personal trainer, Jillian Michaels, gets her own show. She’ll move in with families and have one week to help them transform their lives and lead them on the path to healthy eating and weight loss. Cue the tears. NBC, 8 PM ET/PT.

“Glee”- Attention Gleeks – It’s time to start savoring the last morsels of the year’s best new show. There are only two new episodes left. Tonight, Rachel’s new beau Jesse returns to Vocal Adrenaline leaving her feeling depressed. FOX, 8:59 PM ET/PT.

“One Big Happy Family” – The larger than life Cole family returns for season two of this reality series. This close-knit family of four is dealing with life as a morbidly obese household. Each half-hour episode follows the fun-loving family on their journey of self-improvement – chronicling everything from their everyday struggles to the larger picture of why they overeat, as they attempt to lose weight to ultimately save their family from dire health complications. TLC, 9 PM ET/PT.

“Jersey Couture” – This brand new reality show cashes in on the current Jersey reality show craze. The Scali family owns a dress shop where they sell everything from prom dresses to bridal gowns and pageant wear. Of course, when it comes to what someone looks like in a gown… they tell it like it is, Jersey girl style. Oxygen, 10 PM ET/PT.

“The Little Couple” – It’s season three of this reality series starring married couple Bill Klein, a businessman, and doctor Jennifer Arnold, who both happen to be under four feet tall. Cameras will follow them as they build a custom house and continue on their journey towards parenthood this year. TLC, 10 PM ET/PT.

“Hell’s Kitchen” – Cranky chef Gordon Ramsey is back for season seven to torture a new group of restaurateurs. FOX, 8 PM ET/PT.
